Carnaval Tour

Carnaval 2011 starts Thursday, March 3rd, and runs until Wednesday, March 9th – officially.

The Bahian Carnaval is a celebration of life you will never forget.

Brazilians wait all year for it to arrive.

When it ends you'll see people crying in the streets knowing they’ll have to wait one more year.  It's intense.

Salvador is known for its rich history, culture, and natural beauty.  This truly African-Brazilian city will awaken your senses with its exquisite culinary flavors, warm people, and the rhythm of its electrifying music.

When Carnaval comes, watch out...the party-loving world holds nothing back.

The island of Morro de Sao Paulo is all that one would imagine a tropical paradise to be.  Apart from beautiful beaches, the island has many good walking and horseback riding trails.  The town is a great place to see gorgeous sunsets and dolphins jumping through the waves.

Traditionally a peaceful fishing village, Morro de Sao Paulo is literally “on fire” during the following days after Carnaval, known among locals as ‘Ressaca’ (hangover time).  During this period, the small village gets packed with people looking for a few extra days of fun, as well as relaxation.

Salvador and Morro de Sao Paulo are definitely the best places to be for Carnaval!
